Description

The Future Borders program is focused on the timely and accurate implementation of European regulations concerning migration, border management, and security. As part of this initiative, the program is implementing the Interoperability Regulations (EU) 2019/817 and (EU) 2019/818. We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and independent Business Tester to join the Interoperability project team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that delivered IT solutions meet the needs of end-users. You will work in a realistic setting to test ICT systems, processes, and competencies. Your responsibilities will include defining test types, quality criteria, and acceptance requirements, as well as creating test scenarios, scripts, and test data. You will organize UAT sessions, guide end-users during testing, and monitor the progress and schedule of the UAT. Additionally, you will be responsible for defect management, including recording and analyzing findings, prioritizing issues with the project team, and contributing to follow-up actions with the development team. Reporting on test progress and analyzing results will also be key aspects of your role. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, information analysts, project leaders, the development team, and end-users, as well as with the test manager and test coordinators from the Future Borders program. This position is based within the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMar).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience in a similar role or eCF profile.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a tester in complex IT environments.
  • Experience in creating test scripts and test scenarios.
  • Experience in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Experience in recording and analyzing findings and defects.
  • Demonstrable experience in guiding user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with testing across multiple systems and understanding the impact of changes on other systems.
  • Preferably, knowledge of and experience with testing involving biometrics.
