Innovation Designer

We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Innovation Designer with a strong focus on social design to join the central innovation team, iNova, at the Ministry of Economic Affairs – Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). In this role, you will accelerate, facilitate, and drive multiple innovation projects, acting as a powerful innovation facilitator within the organization. You will collaborate with colleagues of varying levels of innovation experience, effectively guiding them through the innovation process while also contributing actively when necessary. As an Innovation Designer, you will independently set up innovation trajectories and oversee them from start to finish, working in accordance with the iNova innovation framework. You will develop scenarios, services, collaboration forms, and interventions, navigating between abstract systemic issues and concrete actions. Your expertise will help teams gain clarity on scope and direction, fostering ownership of change within teams and organizations. You will take a leading role in the design process for complex societal challenges that are often not clearly defined. You will thrive in complex environments characterized by inertia, dependencies, resistance, and political sensitivity, where you will create movement and initiate innovation. Your proven experience in social design, systemic design, and transition design will be crucial in anchoring change sustainably within the organization.
