Description

The Dutch Ministry of Defence is undertaking a significant transformation of its information management systems to enhance decision-making and accountability. As part of this initiative, the implementation of a new Document Management System (DMS) and Records Management Application (RMA) named DefDoc is crucial. The Senior Project Manager will lead the rollout of this system across various branches of the Defence organization, ensuring that information is accurate, complete, current, discoverable, and accessible. In this role, you will work closely with a diverse team of business analysts, user support specialists, and experts in process analysis, system configuration, communication, training, and adoption. You will report to the overarching project manager for DefDoc and collaborate with other project leaders, product development teams, and information management departments. The project operates within a politically sensitive environment, requiring effective stakeholder management and adaptability to changing circumstances. The DMS implementation is part of a broader business transformation program, with the goal of enhancing the maturity of information management across the Defence organization. The project involves parallel sub-projects for each Defence component, including the Army, Air Force, Navy, and supporting commands. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring uniformity in systems and processes while accommodating local needs and specifications. Regular on-site presence at various Defence locations and in The Hague is expected to facilitate effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
