Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Management Information (MI) department within the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst). In this role, you will collaborate with a team of Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Requirements Analysts to successfully migrate various Management Information products and dashboards to a new data storage platform (DSP). Your responsibilities will include configuring and fine-tuning the migration process, performing code conversion, and resolving discrepancies in results. You will be tasked with code migration, continuously updating solution designs and documentation for management information products, analyzing, splitting, phasing out, and/or merging existing products, and ensuring alignment with architectural standards. Additionally, you may need to build dimensional models and guide other developers in this process. The MI department is dedicated to developing and managing tactical and strategic MI products for the Belastingdienst, ensuring that management has access to accurate, timely, and complete information for planning and accountability. This role requires a strong background in data modeling, software development, and collaboration with various stakeholders within the organization.
