Description
We are seeking a Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for process improvement to join our team at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. In this role, you will lead architectural development and management within the RijksZaak framework, ensuring the implementation of architectural guidelines and maintaining high-quality Pega solutions. You will collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, inspiring them with your insights while working towards the best solutions that meet organizational needs.
Your responsibilities will include the integration and management of necessary systems, proactive identification and implementation of best practices, and overseeing technical documentation and quality assurance processes. You will also be involved in unit and integration testing to ensure application reliability.
The development team supports effective information provision for the compensation of citizens in Limburg, focusing on regulatory processes, data models, and generic application components. The RijksZaak (Pega) system, which includes various portals for citizens, employees, and external consultants, is continuously developed to adapt to changing regulations and services. The team operates under a DevOps approach, utilizing a central backlog in collaboration with other teams.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing Pega applications as a CCSA
- Certified Senior System Architect (Pega)
- Pega Constellation badge certification
- Experience with Pega and Pega Constellation
- Development of background processes (agents, job schedulers, queue processors, listeners)
- Development of reports (ReportDefinitions, List Views, Summary Views)
- Production support within Pega
- Debugging with tools such as Tracer, Live UI, and Pega Log Analyzer
- Experience with Pega DX API
- Development based on user stories
- Coaching of fellow Pega developers
- Experience with large Dutch clients
- Experience with RijksZaak
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Security-first development knowledge, including Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Experience with (manual) testing of components and UI
- Support for User Acceptance Testing
- Experience with testing tools such as PegaUnit, Tosca, or Playwright
- Affinity for data modeling and data analysis
- Ability to translate business requirements into user stories
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Client-side rendering experience
- Development of JavaScript components (e.g., React)
- Willingness to work on-site in Zwolle at least 3 days per week
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Experience working in Scrum teams
- Active contribution to Scrum events (refinement, sprint planning, sprint goals)
- Team-oriented approach and shared responsibility for sprint outcomes
- Support for colleagues with technical issues
