Description

The Ministry of Defence is undertaking a significant transformation of its information management systems to enhance decision-making and accountability. As part of this initiative, the implementation of a new Document Management System (DMS) and Records Management Application (RMA) named DefDoc is crucial. The Senior Project Leader will oversee the deployment of this system across various branches of the Defence organization, ensuring that information is accurate, complete, current, and accessible. In this role, you will lead a team of business analysts, user support specialists, and process experts to drive the successful implementation of the DefDoc system, which is based on the Filenet platform. You will work closely with the business project leader from the respective Defence component to ensure alignment between standardized systems and local needs. This position requires regular interaction with management and stakeholders, necessitating flexibility and adaptability in a politically sensitive environment. You will report to the overarching project manager for DefDoc and collaborate with other project leaders and the product development team. The project is dynamic, with a full change calendar across Defence components, and aims to enhance the maturity of information management practices organization-wide. The anticipated go-live date for the system is set for 2025, with approximately 20,000 users expected to utilize the DMS/RMA system.
