Senior Data Governance Consultant

Staatsbosbeheer, the Dutch governmental organization responsible for managing the green heritage of the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Data Governance Consultant to lead the establishment and implementation of data management and governance frameworks within the organization. This role is part of the Digital Transformation program, which focuses on enhancing data-driven operations across various teams and workstreams. As a Senior Data Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for creating a structured data management framework based on best practices such as DAMA DMBOK. You will translate strategic objectives into practical implementations, including developing a roadmap for prioritizing initiatives. Additionally, you will define roles and responsibilities within the governance structure, ensuring clarity in ownership and decision-making processes. Your expertise will guide the establishment of data management processes, including data quality, definitions, and reference data standards. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders, acting as a subject matter expert and facilitator to ensure successful adoption and integration of data governance practices throughout the organization. This role offers a flexible working arrangement, with opportunities to work both on-site in Amersfoort and remotely.
