Description
We are seeking a Performance Tester with strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of performance testing within IT. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct performance testing for all products delivered by the IV-interaction department, specifically focusing on the business and customs portals, including associated forms. You will guide system development and perform performance testing throughout the entire development lifecycle, from architectural concepts to testing phases, ensuring early detection of performance bottlenecks. You will provide architects, designers, and developers with insights into the performance implications of their choices. To maximize effectiveness, you will collaborate closely with the Performance Competence Center (PCC) of DCS, evaluating the quality of delivered products, defining testing scopes, creating test cases, load models, and test strategies, executing performance and robustness tests, and advising on performance matters while reporting findings.
In this role, you will serve as the testing capacity for the business and customs portals of IV-interaction, working alongside the PCC, which aims to maintain high system performance. You are expected to actively participate as a full-fledged team member within the release train team, contributing to planning and maintaining communication with external parties as necessary for performance testing.
The assignment is issued by the Online Interaction department, part of IV - Generic Facilities, which operates under the SAFe methodology and is structured as a Solution comprising five Agile Release Trains (ART). This request is specifically for the System Team, which supports the KIV Solution.
The Tax and Customs Administration contributes to a financially healthy Netherlands by collecting taxes fairly and responsibly, ensuring funding for essential services such as healthcare, education, and public transport. The IV organization is responsible for ICT provisions, leveraging both internal expertise and external solutions and expertise.
Requirements
- HBO (Higher Professional Education) work and thinking level
- Broad experience in performance testing within IT (5 years)
- Experience with performance testing and test automation in a containerized environment (Kubernetes/OpenShift) (3 years)
- Knowledge and experience in performance testing of Java applications on OpenShift using jMeter
- Knowledge and experience with monitoring, observability, and analysis on OpenShift (Grafana, Otel, and Prometheus)
- Knowledge and experience with test automation using Tekton
