Test Automation Engineer

The MIRA program at the Ministry of Economic Affairs is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to strengthen its project team. You will work within a platform team responsible for managing and evolving the foundational infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include executing updates and upgrades of core software such as Pega and databases, developing and managing shared functionalities like request handlers, REST services, APIs, and the central database, as well as overseeing environments, including monitoring availability, performance, and interfaces. Additionally, you will provide data for analyses and manage dashboards. As a Tester, you will identify risks and mitigate them through targeted testing activities, independently create, execute, and maintain test artifacts, and proactively communicate and gather information. You will contribute to an automated regression test suite using Tosca and develop automated test cases within established frameworks. The MIRA program has developed an application for handling damage claims related to mining activities, utilizing Pega, Alfresco, and DocGen. This application is part of the RijksZaak platform, which is used by multiple government organizations, including IMG. The IMG (Institute for Mining Damage Groningen) is an independent administrative body that addresses damage caused by gas extraction in the Groningen field and associated gas storage facilities. The organization is deeply rooted in the Groningen and Drenthe regions, emphasizing a human-centered, clear, and careful approach to damage resolution.
