Description

We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Automation Engineer to join our team at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst). In this role, you will focus on automating and standardizing various manual, time-consuming, and error-prone management and continuity tasks within a growing Atlassian environment, which includes Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Your primary responsibility will be to translate operational bottlenecks into robust and maintainable automation solutions. This will involve tasks such as automatically archiving inactive repositories, projects, and spaces, cleaning up filters and project roles, developing custom macros, and creating integration links with solutions like ITSM, IMS, and Mattermost. By reducing manual work, you will help enhance service quality and create more room for optimal service delivery. You will be part of the Generic Supporting Services (GOS) department within the IV (Information Technology) section of Generic Provisions. The GH (Generic Tools) team is a solution team that specializes in the development and management of generic products that support the IT chain and the business. The Belastingdienst plays a crucial role in ensuring a financially healthy Netherlands by collecting taxes fairly and carefully, which in turn funds essential services like healthcare, education, and public transport. The IT organization of the Belastingdienst is responsible for providing ICT resources, leveraging both internal expertise and external solutions and expertise from the market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work level
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a software developer
  • Knowledge of Atlassian products
  • Experience with ScriptRunner
  • Proficiency in Python
