Metadata Specialist

The Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) is seeking an experienced Metadata Specialist to develop a comprehensive, organization-wide metadata schema based on the MDTO standard (Metadata for Sustainable Accessibility). In this role, you will be responsible for the concrete implementation and application of MDTO within the new Document Management System (DMS). You will collaborate closely with enterprise and domain architects, information managers, and other stakeholders within the CIO Office. A key aspect of this position involves conducting a fit-gap analysis between the current metadata schema of the existing DMS and the desired configuration in the new DMS. Your daily responsibilities will include: - Developing a generic metadata schema for the entire ACM based on the MDTO standard. - Translating the MDTO standard into a practical setup within the new DMS. - Collaborating intensively with enterprise and information architects, the CIO Office, functional administrators, and other stakeholders. - Performing a fit-gap analysis to identify differences, gaps, and overlaps between the current and desired metadata schemas. - Advising on necessary adjustments in metadata, configuration, and procedures, as well as implementation steps and assurance. - Delivering clear documentation, including the generic metadata schema, configuration proposals for the new DMS, and the fit-gap analysis with recommendations. This role is part of a strategic initiative to modernize ACM's DMS, ensuring compliance with the MDTO standard. The project is well-defined and operates under strict deadlines, providing a high-visibility opportunity within the organization.
