Interim Privacy Officer

As an Interim Privacy Officer at Leiden University, you will play a pivotal role in advising and guiding the institution in fulfilling its legal obligations regarding privacy, all while aligning with the organization's values and ethical standards. You will be supported by the Privacy Office team and will work to enhance privacy awareness across the university. Your responsibilities will include serving as a point of contact for various faculties and departments, assessing their privacy needs, and ensuring the effective management of privacy risks. You will deliver products and services from the Privacy Office, contribute to awareness initiatives through training and clear communication, and provide guidance on privacy complaints and inquiries. Additionally, you will support the execution of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), handle data breaches, and assist in drafting processor agreements and data exchange agreements. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Privacy Office team, adhering to established procedures, and maintaining a pragmatic, service-oriented approach to privacy matters.
