Security Officer

We are seeking a Security Officer to provide temporary support due to the transition of current officers to other roles. In this position, you will ensure that information security is effectively implemented in practice, translating security policies and strategies into clear, actionable advice regarding frameworks, processes, and measures for the CJIB. You will critically assess the adequacy of these measures, ensuring compliance and effectiveness while focusing on quality, coherence, and continuous improvement. Your role will involve advising management and executives on risks, priorities, and decisions, particularly concerning complex security issues such as digital transformations, new IT structures, and evolving regulations. By actively sharing knowledge and enhancing security awareness, you will contribute to strengthening the organization's security posture. The Security Officer will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), IT teams, SOC analysts, and departments such as Privacy, Risk, and Compliance. The emphasis of this role is on supporting the establishment and utilization of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and providing advice on security-related matters, including procurement processes, various risk analyses, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence. This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with an average of two days per week in the office located in Leeuwarden.
