Senior Tester (Agile/Scrum)

We are seeking a Senior Tester to join the Customs Management System (DMS) team at the Dutch Tax Authority (Belastingdienst). In this role, you will work within a multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum team, focusing on enhancing the quality of our applications through automated testing, particularly functional and performance testing. You will establish testing frameworks, contribute to automated regression tests using Robot Framework, and assist in defining the level of detail required for automated testing through test planning and risk analysis. Your daily responsibilities will include creating test scenarios, analyzing and reproducing findings, assessing whether issues have been resolved, and writing automated tests (experience with Robot Framework is a plus). You will also leverage your SQL scripting knowledge to support testing activities. The IV organization of the Dutch Tax Authority is responsible for ICT provisions, with most applications developed and maintained in-house. The DMS project is part of a modernization initiative, utilizing a revised testing strategy that emphasizes automated quality assurance. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative systems built from modular components or standard applications tailored for specific use cases, with a strong focus on user involvement and automated testing practices driven by SAFe, Agile Scrum, and Test Driven Development methodologies.
