Security Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Security Specialist to join the Security Operating Center (SOC) team at DUO Groningen. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily monitoring and safeguarding of digital computer systems through established processes such as Monitoring & Response, Baseline Security, and Threat Intelligence. You will work closely with the development team to implement significant changes to the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system and provide support for various projects, ensuring that all systems are adequately documented and integrated with SOC operations. As part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team, you will handle operational tasks including ticket resolution, vulnerability analysis, threat intelligence assessment, and log information analysis. Your foundational knowledge of various operating systems and network infrastructures will be essential in executing these responsibilities effectively. Participation in on-call duties may also be required as part of this position.
