Description
DUS-I is a shared service organization for the ministries of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS). The organization acts as a service link between institutions applying for and receiving subsidies and the policy directorates of OCW and VWS that determine the conditions under which subsidies are granted. DUS-I aims to streamline the subsidy process by executing all administrative activities accurately, legally, timely, and efficiently.
The role of the Senior Information Security Officer (ISO) is crucial in strengthening information security within DUS-I. The organization is tasked with significant objectives to enhance its information security policy by 2026. The ISO will operate from the CIO office and collaborate closely with the CIO, the CIO office, the Privacy Officer, the Enterprise (Data) Architect, project leaders, and representatives from both operational and administrative functions. Additionally, there will be coordination with departmental stakeholders such as the CISO and various advisory boards.
The ISO will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the information security policy in alignment with the national CIO framework, BIO, NIS2, and GDPR. Key responsibilities include conducting risk analyses and audits, monitoring the security status of systems and processes, advising management on information security, and managing security incidents. The ISO will also establish and execute awareness programs to foster a culture of security within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in information security
- Demonstrable knowledge of BIO, NIS2, and GDPR
- Experience with the national CIO framework and security frameworks
- Proven experience in developing and implementing information security policies
- Experience with risk analyses, audits, DPIAs, and incident management
- Strong advisory skills and political sensitivity
- Ability to translate policy into practical measures
- Experience in stakeholder management and building consensus
- Analytical, results-oriented, and strong communication skills
- Proactive attitude and ability to operate independently within a complex organization
