Data Scientist

The Ministry of Economic Affairs (RVO) is seeking a Data Scientist to enhance a lightweight CRM system based on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). This role involves developing and implementing a new component for regional management, ensuring full integration within the existing OTAP street of TenderNed, while adhering to architectural requirements and security guidelines. A key aspect of this position is the careful migration of data from the current CRM system to the new solution, maintaining data quality and minimizing service disruption. As a Data Scientist within the Center for Procurement and Tendering Expertise, you will extract valuable insights from complex and large datasets. Collaborating with other experts, you will utilize advanced technologies to provide critical information regarding the procurement process, enabling businesses in the Netherlands to take significant steps forward. Our team is responsible for the management and continuous development of TenderNed, the online procurement platform for the Dutch government. We focus on two main missions: publishing European tenders as a legal obligation and digitally supporting the entire procurement process. Additionally, we are increasingly unlocking data and information from PIANOo, the expertise center for procurement. Our core activities include data collection, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
