Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist to join the Project and Advisory (P&A) team within DUO, a key player in the Dutch education sector. This role involves providing security advice for various projects and addressing issues that arise during regular operations. As a central point of contact for the Security department, you will engage with colleagues across teams, requiring a broad knowledge of security practices and the ability to connect security with software development. Familiarity with software development processes will be beneficial in this role. DUO serves as the backbone of the Dutch education system, delivering ICT workplace services for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. The P&A team is integral to the ICT-Security department, focusing on both technical and operational security aspects. You will be part of a collaborative team that employs Agile methodologies, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all project phases. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility projects that impact the educational landscape in the Netherlands, making it a significant role within the organization.
