Container Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic Medior Container Engineer to join the PIT team within the Platform teams of Interactie Online at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst). This team is responsible for hosting, developing, and maintaining a standardized platform that supports the creation of intranet and internet sites, ensuring compliance with both internal and external quality standards. In this role, you will further develop and manage our product portfolio and the necessary enablers on our container platform, leveraging your deep knowledge of Kubernetes technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing our products on OpenShift clusters to meet high availability, scalability, and security requirements. You will manage and monitor OpenShift clusters and Kubernetes namespaces, including performing upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the automated deployment of our products, while supporting teams in creating their own CI/CD pipelines for application deployment. This position is part of a broader initiative to support the migration of IPAS within the Solution KIV framework. The Belastingdienst plays a crucial role in maintaining a financially healthy Netherlands by ensuring fair and careful tax collection.
