Description
The Dutch Education Executive Agency (DUO) is responsible for financing schools and educational institutions in the Netherlands. As a UX Designer at DUO, you will enhance the digital services related to school financing by redesigning key funding processes. Your role will involve creating user-friendly designs that simplify how schools view and apply for funding, while also optimizing internal processes for DUO staff to improve efficiency and customer support. You will collaborate with a team of experts, meeting one to two days a week at a central location to brainstorm and develop ideas and designs.
In your capacity as a Service Designer, you will work alongside customer researchers and journey experts to develop relevant customer journeys, complemented by service blueprints, touchpoints, and insights from users at various stages of interaction.
This position is part of a significant modernization initiative aimed at updating an outdated application landscape surrounding funding processes. The complexity lies in seamlessly integrating new solutions with existing services, ensuring a smooth experience for end-users without adding unnecessary complications. You will regularly engage with end-users, including school staff and internal employees, to gather feedback and refine designs based on their experiences, all while adhering to DUO’s established digital service frameworks, such as the design system and current portal.
