Description
As a Senior UX Designer within the Ministry of Defence, you will play a crucial role in the JIVC's DevOps team, focusing on the Royal Marechaussee's training digitalization initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to design user-friendly, secure, and reliable digital products that enhance operational training environments. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels to translate complex challenges into intuitive solutions, ensuring that the new training platform effectively integrates existing systems and realistic field simulations.
You will lead workshops, conduct user research, and develop a clear UX vision that aligns with strategic goals. Your expertise in design thinking and service design will be instrumental in simplifying complex processes and enhancing user experiences. This role requires a strong ability to communicate design choices persuasively and to work effectively within Agile/SAFe teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in UX and interaction design.
- Proven experience in design thinking, service design, and iterative design processes within complex, politically sensitive organizations.
- Strong strategic and organizational skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels in UX-driven decision-making.
- Experience in leading workshops focused on design thinking, co-creation, service blueprints, and user journeys.
- Ability to present and substantiate design choices effectively to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate complex UX challenges clearly, both verbally and in writing, for both designers and non-designers.
- Experience with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and improving UX solutions based on these standards.
