Senior Project Manager

The Dutch Ministry of Defence is undertaking a significant transformation of its information management systems to enhance decision-making and accountability. As part of this initiative, the implementation of a new Document Management System (DMS) and Records Management Application (RMA), known as DefDoc, is crucial. This role involves leading the implementation of DefDoc across various branches of the Defence organization, ensuring that information is accurate, complete, current, discoverable, and accessible. You will collaborate with a team of business analysts, user support specialists, and process experts to drive the successful rollout of the system, which is expected to be utilized by approximately 20,000 employees by 2025. In this politically sensitive environment, you will work closely with the business project leader of the respective Defence component to manage the implementation. Key challenges include balancing uniformity in systems and processes with local support needs. You will report to the overarching project manager for DefDoc and coordinate with other project leaders and the product development team. The role requires regular on-site presence at various Defence locations and flexibility in stakeholder management to ensure successful engagement and adoption of the new system.
