Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced SAS Data Engineer to join our team at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst) to assist in the migration from Teradata to DB2 Warehouse. This role involves reviewing and modifying existing scripts, queries, and Data Integration Studio programs to ensure a smooth transition. You will work within a collaborative team of approximately seven members, including business analysts and data engineers, focusing on various data foundations. The project consists of two main phases: 'migration preparation,' which is currently underway, and 'migration,' where the actual data transfer will occur. Post-migration support will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that our analytics teams continue to receive high-quality datasets throughout the process. A comprehensive migration plan has been developed to guide this initiative, which presents a significant challenge as we aim to maintain or improve the quality and speed of our services during the transition.
