Field Engineer

We are seeking proactive and solution-oriented Field Engineers to join the Service Desk of the Ministry of Defence. In this role, you will be responsible for providing onsite IT support, replacing outdated hardware, and ensuring optimal service delivery to our clients. You will work closely with colleagues to diagnose issues, implement corrective measures, and maintain a high standard of customer service. Your contributions will directly support the Ministry's mission of safeguarding national interests both domestically and internationally. As a Field Engineer, your key responsibilities will include: - Participating in the Lifecycle project by replacing old hardware with new equipment across various locations in the Netherlands. - Consulting the work registration system to gather information, verify, and test IT resources. - Receiving and addressing incident reports, instructing users, and taking corrective actions as necessary. - Installing, configuring, and managing hardware, software, and network components. You will be part of the Joint Information Provisioning Command (JIVC), which operates under the Command Materiel and IT (COMMIT). JIVC is a full-service ICT company that provides IT services not only to the Ministry of Defence but also to other governmental departments and emergency services.
